How Did This Accident Occur?
Police have not released many details about this crash yet. I hope that is because investigators are too busy reconstructing this accident to offer updates to the public.
Investigators likely are using physical evidence, witness statements, data from the vehicles and any available video footage to figure out how these two vehicles came together. Cell phone records could offer some insight into each driver’s activities at the time.
If authorities suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this crash, an outside expert likely will be needed to inspect these vehicles. Most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or training for such examinations, in my experience.
A thorough investigation should provide answers to any lingering questions the motorcyclist’s family has about this crash.
