El Paso, TX — October 4, 2025, Luis Francisco Salcido was killed as the result of a pedestrian accident around 4:51 a.m. along Zaragoza Road.
According to the El Paso Police Department, the collision occurred at the North Zaragoza Road and Sun Fire Boulevard intersection.
Details suggest that 22-year-old Luis Francisco Salcido was on foot at the time and crossing the intersection. While doing so, a GMC Yukon with trailers in tow struck Luis Francisco Salcido. As a result, Luis Francisco Salcido was fatally injured.

Something to consider with accidents like this is they aren’t always given the attention they need. Authorities may be able to show they gave this accident their undivided attention and are able to address all of the concerns of the victim’s family. That said, I’ve seen too many similar situations where families were weeks or months down the line just as in the dark as they were on day one. That’s generally a sign that authorities simply moved on without giving an accident the investigation it needed.
