Lubbock, TX — May 16, 2026, Lonnie Morin III was killed in a car accident at about 9:10 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Quaker Avenue.
Authorities said a pedestrian was walking in the southbound lanes of Quaker Avenue when he was hit by an SUV near the intersection with Princeton Avenue.
The pedestrian, 44-year-old Lonnie Lonjino Jr. Morin III, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
The SUV driver, who remained at the scene, is not facing any charges at this time, authorities said.
