Bradford County, FL — January 25, 2024, two people were fatally injured due to a log truck accident early Thursday along U.S. Highway 301.
Initial details about the crash reported by the Florida Highway Patrol say the crash happened north of Lawtey near the intersection of Northwest 265th Street.
According to officials, two people were in a sedan which was traveling along U.S. 301. Up ahead, details say a tractor-trailer hauling logs attempted to turn onto the highway from a private roadway. Doing so, the log truck entered the path of the car, and the sedan crashed into the log truck.
Due to the collision, both people in the sedan sustained fatal injuries. It does not appear there were any other injuries. Authorities have not reported any potential charges or citations at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
