Surely OSHA will be looking into what all happened here, but it’s important for folks to understand why that’s not the beginning and end of a serious work accident. Texas has the most complex work accident laws in the whole country. Despite what many believe, there isn’t always an automatic path for getting workers and families a fair resolution. Sometimes, it’s up to them to navigate a legal maze and fight for their own solutions.
OSHA reports may be helpful, but it’s just one piece of a much larger puzzle that usually requires dedicated independent professionals working to prioritize the needs of the worker and their family. The earlier steps are taken to explore a family’s potential paths forward, the sooner steps can be taken plan out how to successfully navigate that path.
