Brazos County, TX — February 3, 2024, Lisa Mahnke was injured in a car accident shortly after 3:45 p.m. along Southwest Parkway.
According to authorities, a 55-year-old man was traveling in a southbound Dodge Journey on Dartmouth Street at the Southwest Parkway intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Dodge failed to heed the red light signal, entering the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the back right side of the Dodge and the front end of an eastbound Nissan Altima occupied by a 67-year-old man and 66-year-old Lisa Mahnke.
Mahnke incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
