Harrison County, TX — April 21, 2024, Leland Turner was injured as the result of a car accident at around 4:51 p.m. along Liberty Cut Off Road.
Investigators said that the crash happened near the intersection of Liberty Cut Off Road and US 59.
According to officials, 59-year-old Leland Turner was in a Toyota Tundra going westbound along the roadway. The vehicle somehow left its lane, and it crashed along the tree line. Due to the crash, Leland Turner reportedly was seriously injured.
Investigators did not release additional details about the accident.

When it comes to single-vehicle wrecks, it’s important to make sure the crash got a proper investigation. They’re too often treated like a low priority, so some of the more complex details may be overlooked as authorities are pushed to work on other responsibilities. If an independent investigation here verified that authorities already turned over every stone, that would be good to hear. It’s just not something I would ever take for granted.
