Lee County, TX — February 21, 2024, Leila Raschke Herzog was injured in a car accident just before 6:15 a.m. along Austin Street.
According to authorities, 64-year-old Leila Raschke Herzog was traveling in an eastbound Ford Explorer along West Austin Street at the South Main Street intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, a collision occurred between the Explorer and a Kia Sportage SUV which had been making a left turn from westbound Austin Street to southbound Main Street. It is unclear which vehicle had the right of way at the time of the wreck.
Herzog incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
