Nueces County, TX — February 28, 2024, Leanne Laferney was injured in a car accident just before 5:15 p.m. along Atlantic Street.
According to authorities, 41-year-old Leanne Laferney was traveling in a northbound Honda Accord on South Alameda Street at the Atlantic Street intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, an eastbound Ford F-150 failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front-right of the pickup truck and the front left of the Honda.
Laferney incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. She was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
