Dallas County, TX — December 5, 2025, Laprecious Ballett was killed as the result of a car accident at around 2:56 a.m. along US Highway 67.
Authorities said in initial statements about the accident that it happened at the intersection of US 67 and FM 1382.
According to officials, 26-year-old Laprecious Ballett was in a Hyundai Elantra going along the highway. Due to events which aren’t clear right now, the vehicle crashed. Laprecious Ballett died as a result, authorities say.

One of the biggest challenges of single-vehicle wrecks is when the victim isn’t able to give their side of the story. That’s why it’s important to make sure the crash is in the hands of investigators who have the time, tools, and experience to let no important details get by them. Police can’t always guarantee that level of scrutiny, as not all departments prioritize accident reconstruction when budgeting for resources and time. Sometimes, it takes independent accident reconstructionists stepping in and picking up the slack to ensure the victim’s loved ones get the answers they deserve.
