How Did This Accident Occur?

When I read about a rollover crash like this, I always wonder if a vehicle defect could have turned a survivable accident into a fatal crash. Most vehicles offer little rollover protection, in my experience, because the government’s rollover test is flawed. It doesn’t properly simulate the real-world forces of a rollover crash; instead it applies angled pressure to the car’s roof. That means most carmakers design their vehicles to pass the test, not necessarily protect the driver.

A qualified expert should examine the Jeep in a laboratory setting to determine if a design flaw caused this crash to turn fatal. This family deserves to know if these deaths could have been prevented.
