How Did This Accident Occur?
Most people who read about a crash like this are quick to blame the motorcyclist. That is because of a persistent stereotype that depicts anyone who rides a motorcycle as a reckless daredevil, but the opposite is true in my experience. Riders tends to be more cautious than other drivers because they understand how vulnerable they are when they’re on the road.
A full investigation is needed to piece together what happened on F.M. 855. There likely aren’t any witnesses or security cameras on this rural stretch of road to help in this probe, but the motorcyclist could have been using some sort of wearable device that recorded data at the time.
Investigators also should push for an in-depth inspection of the motorcycle to determine if a mechanical issue or manufacturer’s defect contributed to this crash.
