Webb County, TX — November 18, 2025, a Kingsville man was injured as the result of a truck accident at around 6:34 a.m. along Highway 44.
Investigators said that the incident took place between Encinal and Freer. It appears that a 23-year-old Kingsville man was in a Chevy truck going along the roadway. A Freightliner tractor-trailer was going westbound on the highway. The vehicles reportedly crossed paths and collided.
Due to the collision, the Kingsville man was seriously injured. No other injuries were confirmed. Additional details are unavailable.

With any crash involving a commercial truck, things are going to be rather complex. They’re not just big car accidents. They require careful, thorough accident reconstructions, and sometimes authorities aren’t equipped to do that on their own.
I’ve handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases, and I can’t recall a time where a police report covered all the facts in one go. It almost always takes efforts from professional investigators who have more experience with commercial truck accidents to finally capture the whole picture. Maybe authorities here were thorough enough on their own, but that’s not the sort of thing I’d take for granted.
