Austin, TX — April 29, 2024, Kendria Carter was injured as the result of a car accident that happened around 10:08 p.m. along I-35.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place in the area of I-35 and Woodland Drive.
Investigators said that 44-year-old Kendria Rhashida Carter was in a Ford Focus going northbound along the interstate. In events not clear, the Ford crashed into two other cars, followed by an 18-wheeler. As a result, Kendria Carter was injured.
There were no other reported injuries. At this time, no further information is available.

A multi-vehicle crash like this is almost never going to be straight-forward or simple. That’s why I have to wonder what kind of attention it got from police. I can’t begin to count how many crashes have crossed my desk where it turned out authorities never bothered doing proper, thorough accident reconstructions.
At the end of the day, people involved in a serious accident need as much evidence as possible to tell the whole story. Sometimes, authorities can do that on their own. Too often, though, families find they have to bring in independent investigators to pick up the slack. Was that needed here, or did authorities prioritize the accident investigations?
