How Did This Accident Occur?
Did the GMC turn when it wasn’t safe? Was the Nissan speeding? Was either driver distracted? Did one of these vehicles have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? These are the kind of questions that can only be answered with a full investigation of this crash.
Authorities will work to reconstruct this accident by poring over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show if either of these drivers was texting or interacting with an app at the time.
If investigators suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this crash, the vehicles will need to undergo an in-depth examination in a laboratory setting. Most law enforcement agencies are not equipped for that kind of inspection, but the two women in the Nissan and their families deserve to know as much as possible about what caused this accident.
