UPDATE (February 22, 2024): Authorities have gone on to identify the victims involved in the crash as 47-year-old Karina Medina and 47-year-old Floyed Corey. Medina reportedly had serious injuries while Corey’s injuries were described as moderate. Statements continue to show multiple recommended charges against the driver involved, who was allegedly drunk at the time of the accident. Investigations continue.

Even with authorities releasing more information here, I have yet to see them say anything about where this alleged drunk driver may have been drinking. People tend to only consider drunk drivers after a serious accident, but evidence usually shows that the driver was over-served by a local bar who also broke the law and needs to be held accountable. But if authorities aren’t looking into that evidence, they may be letting a dangerous alcohol provider off the hook for their role in an accident that nearly killed someone. Are they taking steps to ensure that doesn’t happen?


San Antonio, TX — January 25, 2024, two people were injured as the result of a suspected drunk driver accident at around 10:00 p.m. on Elm Street.

Authorities said that the accident happened in the area of the Elm Street and Nolan Street intersection.

According to current statements, a man and a woman were on foot on the sidewalk along Elm Street. While there, a vehicle apparently went onto the sidewalk and struck both pedestrians, injuring them. The woman’s injuries were apparently critical.

The driver involved reportedly tried to flee the scene, however authorities say they located the suspect. They believe that the driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident, and they say they arrested the driver for intoxication assault and collision involving serious bodily injury.
