Newton County, TX — April 17, 2024, Kaleb Harvey was killed as the result of an ATV accident which occurred at 3:34 a.m. along Highway 87.
According to officials, the crash took place just off the intersection with County Road 3110.
Investigators said that 21-year-old Kaleb Christopher Harvey was on a Kawasaki ATV traveling northbound along the highway. A Nissan Versa was going southbound. It appears the vehicles crossed paths and collided. Kaleb Harvey reportedly died due to the collision.
No other injuries were reported. Additional details about the accident are unavailable.

One of my concerns with ATV accidents is they’re not exactly typical vehicles. Sometimes, authorities barely have the time or equipment needed for basic car accidents. If they have to handle a less straight-forward, incident, it raises questions about whether they have the capability to give all the surrounding evidence the attention it needs. Hopefully authorities here were able to give this crash the attention that a serious accident calls for rather than moving on without getting all the facts.
