Hood County, TX — June 8, 2024, a Justin man was injured as the result of a motorcycle accident at around 8:45 p.m. along Acton Highway.
Authorities said that the crash happened near the intersection of Acton Highway and Davis Road, east of Granbury.
According to officials, a 50-year-old Justin man was on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle going southwest along Acton Highway. At a curve in the road, the motorcycle went off the side of the road where it crashed. the driver was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. Right now, additional details can’t be confirmed.
With motorcycle accidents, my concern is always if they’re really getting enough attention. Authorities sometimes are quick to blame the rider without considering any kind of extenuating circumstances. Were there issues with the roadway? Did a mechanical issue occur? Was the victim illegally over-served by an alcohol provider? Did another driver cause the accident and flee the scene? It might surprise people what all police can let slip through the cracks. Maybe authorities here were more thorough, but it’s possible that independent investigations would catch something they missed.
