How Did This Accident Occur?
Without further information, I wouldn’t want to jump to conclusions here. This could have been anything from a tire blowout causing the pickup to veer off-road to a person trying to drive around a railroad crossing guard. What’s important is making sure there’s enough evidence to fairly tell the victim’s side of the story. It might surprise folks how often authorities move on without ever following up with a driver who was too seriously injured to give a statement after the crash. If investigators don’t take steps to fill in those gaps, they could miss something important.
