How Did This Accident Occur?
It would be easy to assume this crash happened because of driver error or fatigue, but in my experience accident investigations should be based on facts, not assumptions. What if the driver had a medical emergency? What he swerved to avoid another vehicle? What if the Chevrolet had a problem with its steering mechanism? These are questions that authorities should consider as they investigate this accident.
Investigators will rely on vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statement and any available video footage to reconstruct this accident, while cell phone records could show if the driver was texting or interacting with an app at the time.
This investigation should give the Chevrolet driver and his family a clear picture of what happened on S.H. 105.
