San Antonio, TX — December 8, 2025, Juan Guzman Covarrubias was killed as the result of a car accident at around midnight along Ave Maria Drive.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened just off the corner of the San Pedro Avenue and Jackson Keller Road intersection.
Investigators said that 46-year-old Juan Guzman Covarrubias was a passenger in a Ford F-150 going southbound on Ave Maria Drive. The vehicle somehow lost control and crashed along the side of the road. Due to this, Juan Guzman Covarrubias reportedly was killed.
Other injuries weren’t confirmed. Additional details about the accident are unavailable.

Officers aren’t always given the time or tools they need to do a thorough investigation, and single-vehicle wrecks in particular tend to be brushed aside before all the facts have been considered. Maybe authorities here will be able to show they’ve looked into things from potential vehicle defects to road hazards to poor signage or lighting to alcohol. But if they haven’t taken steps to preserve evidence and consider even unlikely possible factors, there could be more to this story that will require further independent investigations to bring to light.
