Ellis County, TX — August 23, 2024, Juan Frias Delgado was killed due to a car accident at around 5:00 p.m. along Interstate 45.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened along southbound lanes of the interstate near Pace Road north of Palmer.
Investigators said that 37-year-old Juan Frias Delgado was in a Ford F-150 going along I-45. Somehow, the vehicle lost control and veered off the right side of the road. It overturned repeatedly in the ditch between main lanes and the service road.
As a result of the crash, Delgado sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be any others involved in the crash. No further information about the accident is available at this time.

When it comes to single-vehicle accidents like this, a major concern is making sure authorities didn’t miss anything important. Unfortunately, these kinds of accidents aren’t often seen as a high priority. Even dedicated officers may be pressured to move on before they’re really had a chance to get any clear answers. That’s why it can be important for folks involved in these situations to consider the kind of answers they’re getting. If authorities are able to get them clear answers that make sense, it’s probably because they’re doing good investigations. But if folks still have doubts and things aren’t adding up, it’s there may have to be more thorough independent investigations to pick up the slack.
