Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
One of the most challenging aspects of a serious car wreck is just making sure it gets the attention it deserves. People might think details like these seem straight-forward. This crash, however, might be a lot more complex than folks realize.
I’ve been handling fatal car accident cases for over 30 years. Countless times, authorities moved on without conducting proper accident reconstructions unless there was someone they could charge or cite. If that person loses their life, the investigations might be treated as a low priority. That can leave victims and families empty-handed when it comes time to tell their side of the story and get the help they need.
That’s why many families seek out help from independent professionals in the first place. At the end of the day, it’s not just about finding someone to blame. It’s about having all the facts and being able to navigate a complex legal situation to get a family the help and the resolution they deserve. Perhaps authorities here have been thorough enough and gave this crash the attention it needed. It’s just not something anyone should take for granted.
