San Antonio, TX — July 16, 2026, Joseph Michell was killed in a hit-and-run accident at about 4:50 a.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 90.

Authorities said a newer model red Nissan Sentra hit a pedestrian west of State Highway Loop 1604. It did not stop after the collision.

The pedestrian, 40-year-old Joseph Leon Michell, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

Parts recovered at the scene are believed to be from a 2022-2025 Nissan Sentra, authorities said. They are looking for a vehicle with significant damage to its front left, including a missing driver’s side mirror.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bexar County crash at this time.
