Houston, TX — February 25, 2024, Jose Pineda was injured in a car accident shortly before 1:00 p.m. along Sam Houston Parkway.
According to authorities, a GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling southbound on Cullen Boulevard at the intersection with the eastbound service road for Sam Houston Parkway when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Sierra ran the red light at the intersection, resulting in a collision with an eastbound Hyundai Elantra. The Sierra then lost control and also collided with a Ram 1500 pickup truck occupied by 48-year-old Jose Pineda, as well.
Pineda reportedly became entrapped in the wreckage as a result of the wreck; he was extricated upon the arrival of emergency personnel. EMS transported him to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment for the suspected severe injuries he incurred due to the accident. No other injuries have been reported.
