According to officials, 29-year-old Jose Gonzalez Morales was in a Nissan Sentra traveling southbound along F.M. 1854. The vehicle apparently went out of its lane of travel, and it ultimately overturned, hitting a fence in the process. Authorities say that Jose Gonzalez Morales was seriously injured in the crash.
There is no indication of anyone else being involved in the crash. Investigations are ongoing.

It may surprise people to learn that single-vehicle wrecks are some of the more challenging ones I deal with. It isn’t necessarily that their causes are particularly complex; rather, it’s that authorities don’t always give them enough attention. Many people come to me because they feel authorities were more focused on placing blame than actually looking for answers. This can result in serious details going completely overlooked.
Did a tire blowout? Were there issues with the roadway? Is there insufficient signage on this road? Is the design of the road itself faulty? Did the victim’s vehicle have a defect, affecting braking, airbags, seatbelts, etc.? Did the car hold up okay during a rollover? Did medical conditions play a role? Were there external factors that made an accident harder to avoid? Did authorities attempt to secure electronic data from the victim’s vehicle?
These are all questions I can expect quality, thorough independent accident reconstructions to answer. It’s not about what’s common or likely; it’s about making sure there is evidence to rule out or confirm what happened. It’s possible authorities here have been hard at work to ensure that happens here. However, if there are concerns that authorities aren’t looking to consider all sides of the story here, it unfortunately wouldn’t be anything new.
