Allen, TX — October 20, 2023, Jose Daniel Araujo was injured following a car accident at around midnight along the Central Expressway.
According to current available information, the crash happened on southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75 in the area of Montgomery Boulevard.
In their statements, authorities said that 22-year-old Jose Daniel Araujo was in a Chevy Colorado pickup going along U.S. 75. Due to events not entirely clear right now, Araujo’s pickup crashed into a Dodge Ram which was reportedly parked and unoccupied along the right side of the road. Due to this, Araujo sustained apparently serious injuries.

Some details not mentioned here are why exactly the pickup was on the side of the road, why no one was in it, and if there was any kind of lighting to make the obstruction visible. Those may seem relatively insignificant, but their parts of the larger picture that need to be considered. The concern is that sometimes, victims and families only ever hear from authorities as much as we in the public do. So unless authorities here were a lot more thorough than these preliminary statements, there could be a lot more to this story.
