Marion County, TX — September 5, 2024, Jordan Williams was killed following an ATV accident at around 1:00 a.m. along Oak Ridge Road.
Authorities said in initial statements on the accident that it happened in the area of Oak Ridge Road and Lake Drive, east of Ore City along the edge of Lake O’ the Pines.
It appears 31-year-old Jordan Taylor Williams was on a Suzuki 4-wheelergoing southbound along Oak Ridge. The vehicle somehow went off the side of the road where it entered the ditch, then overturned. Williams was separated from the vehicle and ultimately sustained fatal injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident.

Right now, no further information is available. When it comes to non-standard vehicles like this, I can’t help wondering how thorough authorities are being in their investigations. It would surprise folks how often I get calls from families who trusted authorities to get them answers only to end up weeks or months down the line empty-handed. That’s common enough with more typical car accidents, so when a crash involves circumstances that are less common or which may be seen as a lower priority, things can easily slip through the cracks. Is that happening here, or have authorities made sure to dedicate enough time and effort to ensuring the victim’s loved ones get some answers?
