Wichita County, TX — September 28, 2024, Jonathan Ward was injured following a motorcycle accident at around 11:30 p.m. along F.M. 367.
Investigators said that the incident happened in the area of the F.M. 367 and South Bell Road intersection, south of Iowa Park.
According to officials, 32-year-old Jonathan Lee Ward was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle going eastbound on F.M. 367. While doing so, the motorcycle somehow ran off the side of the road and crashed into a pole. Due to this, Ward sustained reportedly serious injuries. No one else was reportedly involved.

With motorcycle wrecks, I’m always a bit more cautious than usual reading details from authorities. The reality is a lot of people look at motorcyclists negatively regardless of what kind of facts they have. When officers share this negative bias, it can result in incomplete or mistake investigations. It’s always prudent to consider having independent investigators look into a situation to ensure authorities didn’t miss anything important like a vehicle defect or road hazards. But when a motorcycle is involved, I can’t imagine a scenario where anything short of an independent accident reconstruction would be reliable.
