El Paso, TX — February 19, 2024, Jonathan Burklo and a young girl were injured in a car accident at about 1:10 p.m. along Dyer Street.
According to authorities, a Ford F-150 was traveling northwest bound on McCombs Street at the Dyer Street intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck failed to stop for the red light indicated on the traffic signal, entering the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front end of the pickup and the driver side of a southwest bound Dodge Dart occupied by 39-year-old Jonathan Burklo and a 9-year-old girl.
Burklo incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the young girl sustained apparently minor injuries. Both of them were transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
