Houston, TX — August 11, 2024, Jonatan Ramos Merito and one other were injured after a car accident at around 1:20 a.m. along Westpark Drive.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of Westpark Drive and Fondren Road.
Investigators said that 31-year-old Jonatan Ramos Merito and another man were in a Chevy HHR going eastbound on Westpark. While crossing Fondren, a northbound Dodge Ram t-boned the Chevy, As a result, Ramos Merito and the passenger in the Chevy had serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
At this time, additional details about the crash remain unconfirmed.

After any serious car accident, it’s important for folks to consider what steps authorities took to investigate things properly. I get calls all the time from folks who waited around for answers, and they eventually found out authorities had already moved on to other work without ever getting all the facts. Sometimes, they even jump to conclusions and end up blaming someone for something they couldn’t avoid. This isn’t always true, of course. I’ve had plenty of cases where our independent investigations showed authorities did a good job already. But when folks feel like they’re not getting clear answers and they still have doubts that aren’t being addressed, it’s sometimes because authorities dropped the ball. It remains to be seen how their efforts fared here.
