How Did This Accident Occur?

It would be easy to write off this crash as a matter of driver error or fatigue, but I’ve been involved in enough accident investigations in my career to know that facts, not assumptions, are best in figuring out how a crash happened.

Did another vehicle force the Toyota off the road? Did the 16-year-old car have a problem with its brakes or steering mechanism? The only way to answer these and any other lingering questions about this crash is with a full investigation.

Investigators will pore over evidence from the scene, data from the Toyota’s engine control module and any available witness statements or video footage of the crash to come up with answers about what caused this crash.
