UPDATE (February 2, 2024): The motorcyclist who lost his life as a result of this accident has been identified as 20-year-old Johnatan Castruita, of Arlington.

Arlington, TX — January 31, 2024, a motorcyclist was killed in an accident soon after 1:30 a.m. along Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard.

According to authorities, a man was traveling on an eastbound motorcycle on Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard somewhere in the vicinity of the Yaupon Drive intersection when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that unsafe speeds may have been a causal factor leading up to the wreck. The motorcycle reportedly failed to safely navigate a curve in the roadway, making contact with a curb and losing control. This led to the motorcyclist, who was allegedly not wearing a helmet, being ejected from the vehicle. He incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result and was declared deceased at the scene of the accident.
