March 19, 2026, John Josef Allen was killed due to a car versus motorcycle accident around 4:16 p.m. along FM 2484.

Authorities said in initial statements that the crash happened west of Salado at the intersection of Farm-to-Market 2484 and Ridgewood Drive.

It appears that 68-year-old John Josef Allen was on a motorcycle traveling eastbound along the roadway. A Toyota Camry was turning onto Ridgewood. As it did so, the motorcycle crashed into the Camry. John Allen reportedly died as a result. The Camry driver had unspecified injuries.

At this time, additional details are unavailable.

How Did This Accident Occur?

Some of the details leading up to the collision are unclear, so I don’t want to jump to any conclusions while details are still scarce. Even if there are more details, though, I always take reports about motorcycle wrecks with a few grains of salt.

The reality is a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists, and even authorities sometimes make hasty assumptions rather than letting the evidence tell the story. If they’ve been careful here to set their bias aside and focus on the facts, that would be good to hear.

However, a lot of familiar who lose a loved one in a motorcycle accident bring in outside professionals to look these accidents over so they can be sure everything is fair and considering things from all angles. I wouldn’t be unusual if something similar was needed here, as well.
