Harris County, TX — June 28, 2024, Joe Jackson Jr. was killed as the result of a truck accident at around 12:56 a.m. along Hartwick Road.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened near the intersection of Hartwick Road and Allwood Street.

According to investigators, 40-year-old Joe Nathan Jackson Jr. was in a Mazda CX-5 going westbound along Hartwick Road. Up ahead, there was a bucket truck working on utility lines. For reasons which aren’t clear right now, the Mazda sideswiped the truck, then veered off-road and crashed into a fence. As a result, Jackson was killed. No other injuries were reported.
Generally speaking, people tend to write off accidents where someone hits a stationary object. But it’s important to consider all possible factors, as there may have been unusual circumstances. Was the truck well lit? Were they unnecessarily blocking traffic? Did the victim’s vehicle experience any sort of defects? Are there issues with this stretch of road that contributed to the accident? Common or not, these are important possibilities to look into. The question, though, is if authorities have even bothered looking into these possibilities. If not, they could be missing something crucial.
