How Did This Accident Occur?
An accident on a roofing job site often raises red flags for a fatal fall accident. That’s often the result of things like workers not being provided with proper safety equipment or being given safety equipment that is worn and in need of replacement. Of course, without more clear evidence, this incident could also involve anything from a structure collapse to a negligent co-worker to a medical emergency.
What’s important is making sure someone is focusing on the needs of the worker’s family. OSHA tends to have their own priorities, and families can find themselves months down the line asking the same questions they were asking on day one. Considering Texas has the most complex work fatality laws in the whole country, families deserve to know they’re going to get the full story and that they’ll have every opportunity to pursue a resolution that’s fair to their needs. Even if it does take months, it’s never too late to try to put things on the right track.
