Atascosa County, TX — May 10, 2024, Jesus Renteria and two others were injured after a wrong-way car accident around 11:11 p.m. along FM 476.
Investigators said that the crash happened near County Road D90 southwest of San Antonio.
It appears Jesus Clayton Renteria was in a Ford F-150 going northbound along FM 476. A Volkswagen Jetta was going southbound when it apparently went left of center. The vehicles collided as a result.
Due to the accident, Jesus Renteria and two people (both teenagers) in the other vehicle were seriously injured. Additional details are unavailable at this time.

When a crash involves younger drivers, my concern is authorities might jump to conclusions too quickly. That isn’t to say a mistake couldn’t have caused this, but an accident reconstruction has to allow the evidence to speak for itself. If authorities just jump to conclusions, that may not happen. So were authorities here able to do a proper, thorough investigation, or are there still unanswered questions to this day?
