Houston, TX — July 24, 2024, a pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 9:45 p.m. along Bissonnet Street.
According to authorities, the accident took place on Bissonnet Street in the vicinity southwest of Fonden Road.
A male pedestrian was reportedly attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a Nissan Altima. The Altima allegedly fled the scene, the 55-year-old man inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. The pedestrian incurred fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The man who had been behind the wheel of the vehicle eventually returned to the scene of the accident and was apparently arrested after being questioned. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
