El Paso, TX — March 21, 2025, Jesus Fernando Perez was killed due to a hit-and-run accident at around 8:00 p.m. along North Loop Drive.
Preliminary details released about the crash say it happened at the bus stop off the corner of the North Loop and La Promesa Drive intersection, right outside El Paso Community College – Valle Verde Campus.
According to officials, 52-year-old Jesus Fernando Perez was on foot and walking to the bus stop. While doing so, it appears a vehicle struck Fernando Perez. That vehicle then reportedly fled the scene.
Due to the collision, Fernando Perez sustained fatal injuries. right now, additional details about the accident are unavailable.

Following any hit-and-run, one of the best things authorities can do is keep the information in the public eye as much as possible. Often, someone in the community is able to come forward and help connect the dots. They may know the person, they may see a vehicle show up with fresh damage, they may live nearby and have a security camera with a view of the roadway, etc. With help from the public, there’s hope authorities can identify the runaway driver, hold them accountable for leaving the scene, and find out what it was that led them to flee in the first place.
