Fort Bend County, TX — January 12, 2025, Jessica Johnson and Guillermo Banda Jr. were injured following a car accident at 4:28 a.m. along the Southwest Freeway.

According to officials, 31-year-old Jessica Johnson was in a Hyundai Elantra, and 25-year-old Guillermo Banda Jr. was in a Kia Optima. Their vehicles and a Ford F-150 crossed paths and collided with one another due to unconfirmed reasons.
As a result of the accident, Jessica Johnson and Guillermo Banda Jr. were reportedly seriously injured. The third driver reportedly had no injuries. Additional details about the accident are unavailable.

First, did investigators have the time, training, and resources to document the scene properly? Multi-vehicle collisions are often chaotic, and if key evidence—like vehicle positions, impact points, or physical roadway conditions—wasn’t recorded carefully, critical context could already be missing.
Second, has anyone examined whether a vehicle defect may have contributed to the crash or made the injuries worse? Brake issues, steering malfunctions, or problems with safety systems like airbags and seatbelts can all affect the outcome of a collision. These types of issues often go unnoticed unless someone takes steps to have the vehicles closely inspected.
Finally, was crash-related electronic data preserved from the vehicles? Many modern cars store valuable pre-crash information, such as speed, braking, and steering input.
