With any hit-and-run, keeping details in the public like this is one of the best things authorities can do. I’ve seen many runaway drivers caught because a friend, neighbor, co-worker, repair shop worker, or even family member come forward and identify the suspect.

One thing which could also help is checking nearby businesses and residences for security cameras. Sometimes, authorities only check for debris or parts knocked off the vehicle at the scene. But if anyone recorded the accident on video, they could be able to publish images of the suspect vehicle in the news. It’s still relatively early in the investigations, so keeping up the pressure is going to be crucial in getting a resolution for this woman’s loved ones.
