Accident Report
Kingsland, TX — May 29, 2026, Jerob Lewis was injured in an alleged drunk driver accident at about 10:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of River Oaks Drive.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2013 Ford F-150 collided at the junction with Bluebonnet Lane as both vehicles were heading east.
Dodge driver Jerob Lewis, 38, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report. A 12-year-old girl riding with him was listed as possibly injured.
The Ford driver, who was not injured, was charged with driving while intoxicated after the crash, the report states.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Llano County crash at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
Police likely will investigate this accident like any other, but that probe should continue beyond the scene of the crash if blood tests prove the Ford driver was intoxicated. They should look into where he had been drinking before the crash.
It’s one thing if he had been drinking at home, but if he had been at a bar or restaurant that alcohol provider could share responsibility under Texas law for any injuries caused a patron who was served while obviously intoxicated.
The only way to know if that happened in this instance is to track the driver’s movements before the crash. Most law enforcement agencies don’t veer that far from the accident scene, but the injured driver and his family deserve to know everyone who may have played a role in this crash.
