How Did This Accident Occur?

Initial reports contend this crash was caused by an SUV that collided with another SUV while turning onto S.H. 43. I expect investigators to sort out what happened as they reconstruct this accident, based on physical evidence, witness statements, data from the vehicles and any available video footage. I hope someone takes the time to look at the overturned Ford to determine if it was designed properly to protect the driver from a rollover.

Most vehicles provide little rollover protection, since they were designed to pass the government’s test, not necessarily safeguard the driver. It takes a qualified expert to examine the vehicle a laboratory setting to know if a design flaw contributed to this driver’s injuries.

He and his family deserve to know as much as possible about what caused this crash.
