An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the evening hours of August 17th. According to official reports, Jennifer Martinez was travelling in a Ford Edge on Broadway St. in the westbound lanes, at the Hatfield Rd. intersection, when a Toyota Sienna coming from the west turning south and failed to yield the right-of-way, and was struck by Martinez.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Martinez had sustained serious injuries and transported her to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Martinez’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
