Summit County, OH — January 27, 2024, Jason Thomas Stevens was killed in a truck accident at approximately 9:15 a.m. along State Route 8.
According to authorities, 31-year-old Jason Thomas Stevens was traveling in a northbound 18-wheeler hauling a diesel tanker on State Route 8 in the vicinity of the I-271 interchange when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, as the 18-wheeler attempted to take the exit to I-271 it veered over the edge, bursting into flames as it crashed to the ground beneath. Stevens incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
