Taylor, TX — July 24, 2026, James Killough was killed in a hit-and-run accident at about 10:15 a.m. in a parking lot in the 300 block of Mallard Lane.

Authorities said a vehicle hit a pedestrian and drove away.

The pedestrian, 81-year-old James Killough, died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to authorities.

The vehicle driver, a 43-year-old Spring man, subsequently was arrested in the 2700 block of North Drive, authorities said. He has been jailed on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Williamson County crash at this time.
