Accident Report

Clackamas County, OR — July 23, 2026, James Fisher was killed in a truck accident at about 10:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 26/Mt. Hood Highway.

Authorities said a westbound Freightliner semi-truck with three trailers was rear-ended by a Volvo semi-truck after it stopped in a live traffic lane near East Terra Fern Drive because it had overheated.

Volvo driver James Glenn Fisher, 62, of Medford died at the scene of the crash east of Sandy, according to authorities.

The Freightliner driver was not injured, authorities said.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Clackamas County crash at this time.
