Accident Report
Refugio County, TX — March 22, 2026, Ja’Kendryck Collins was killed and another man was injured in a single-vehicle accident just before 2 p.m. on U.S. Highway 77.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2015 Jeep Wrangler was heading north when it left the road and overturned. The vehicle had slick or defective tires at the time of the crash, according to the report.
A passenger, 19-year-old Ja’Kendryck Collins, died after the crash, according to the report, while another backseat passenger was seriously injured.
The driver suffered minor injuries, the report states, while the front seat passenger was not hurt.
