UPDATE (February 26, 2024): The identity of the motorcyclist who lost his life as a result of this accident has been confirmed as Jaime Betancourt Jr. of Pasadena, Texas.
Harris County, TX — February 24, 2024, a motorcyclist was killed in a car accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. along the North Freeway.
According to authorities, one person was traveling on a northbound motorcycle on North Freeway in the vicinity of Parker Road when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the motorcycle collided with the back end of a passenger vehicle, causing the motorcycle to lose control. The motorcyclist was apparently wearing a helmet at the time of the collision; however, it allegedly came off during the course of the accident. The motorcyclist incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
