How Did This Accident Occur?
Initial reports indicate the box truck driver caused this accident by turning in front of a motorcycle on Newport Highway, but what if police got it wrong. It doesn’t happen often, but a full investigation should get to the bottom of what happened here.
Authorities will work to reconstruct this accident by poring over vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statements and any available video footage. Most motorcycles do not have the same built-in data recording systems as other modern vehicles, but the rider could have been using some sort of wearable device that could provide more insight into the crash.
An in-depth vehicle inspection could reveal if a mechanical issue contributed to this accident. It should be done by a qualified expert, since few law enforcement agencies have the proper training for such examinations, in my experience.
This investigation should provide the motorcyclist and his family with a clear picture of what caused this accident.
